Asia has large country-to-country variations in COPD prevalence and mortality. The Global Initiative for Chronic Obstructive Lung Disease (GOLD) 2023 report covers many aspects of COPD, from causes and risk factors, to diagnosis, pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatment, and exacerbations [1]. We would like to make some comments on the relevance of the GOLD 2023 executive summary in Asia.
