Whatever the severity of any health condition, if the prevalence is in double digits globally, the implications for planetary health are tremendous. Should we consider the allergic triad of asthma, rhinoconjunctivitis and eczema (figure 1), periodic monitoring of their burden and determinants of change are fundamental for planning the existing efforts and forecasting the use of always limited resources.
