Y1 - 2019/07/01 UR - //www.qdcxjkg.com/content/54/1/1900364.abstract N2 - The mortality attributed to pulmonary fibrosis has been shown to steadily increase from 1979 to 2010 in the USA and from 2001 to 2013 across the European Union [1–5]. However, it is unknown if this trend continues in the USA in recent years. By evaluating the National Center for Health Statistics underlying cause of death database, the current study updates previous analyses by using a joinpoint regression model for determining changes in the trend of pulmonary fibrosis deaths in the USA, from 1999 to 2017.Pulmonary fibrosis mortality rate increased from 1999 until reaching an inflection point in 2004. Subsequently, mortality rates decreased from 2004 to 2017 and concurred with significant downward trends in cardiovascular, pneumonia and influenza mortality. http://bit.ly/2KTFWPE ER -
